Russian Fitness Group
“Russian Fitness Group” was created to unite World Class - chain of fitness clubs of the premium segment and Fizkult – business format fitness club chain.
“Russian Fitness Group” is the largest company in the Russian fitness industry. Our mission - to develop the fitness industry of a global level in Russia, to popularize a healthy life-style as the only one for a modern person. “Russian Fitness Group” incorporates more than 40 fitness clubs located in 13 cities of Russia and CIS countries. The total number of members is more than 109000 people and the company employs more than 2700 training and administrative staff.
“Russian Fitness Group” for 15 years has been organizing and supporting social actions and programs of a national scale in the area of sport and healthy life style industry: Annual International Festival of physical culture and sports, Regional conventions which attract more than 17000 fitness professionals and amateurs and the best specialists of the fitness industry from Europe, Asia, the USA, Latin America and Russia.
In 2006 the partnership agreement with the investor company Alfa Capital Partners, which has become a shareholder strengthened the World Class and “FizKult” positions at the fitness services market and allowed to accelerate their development.
2007 - “Russian Fitness Group” announced a friendly merger with MaxiSport fitness clubs chain operating under the Reebok system. As a result of the merger eight MaxiSport fitness clubs located in Moscow and St. Petersburg have been re-branded into World Class and “FizKult”.
The president of “Russian Fitness Group” is Olga Sloutsker.
World Class
World Class brand came to the Russian market in 1990.
The first World Class fitness center which met all the international standards was set up in Moscow, Zhitnaya street in 1993. Thus it has started the fitness industry in Russia and CIS countries.
Nowadays World Class is the largest fitness corporation in Russia which includes 21 own and 13 franchised clubs in 12 cities of Russia and former CIS countries. World Class club chain is the leader in providing fitness services in the “luxury” and “premium” segments of the market. There are more than 76000 club members in the chain.
World Class club chain offers its members a full range of fitness and wellness programs, pools, group and personal trainings, work out gyms, kid zones, Russian and Turkish bath , Beauty SPA centers, PODIUM Sport fashion boutique, fitness bars and solarium.
World Class is the founder of personal trainers institute in Russia. The company has developed a system of certification and all the trainers annually undergo it. World Class club fitness staff are Olympic champions, champions of the world and Europe, masters of sports of international level.
World Class has been for 8 years in the top 25 best world fitness clubs (Global 25 international data).
For a 15 years period of life World Class has been repeatedly nominated as:
- 2001, 2004 - The brand of the year/ EFFIE;
- 2006 - Super brand;
- 2006 - Olga Sloutsker , the World Class president became the 2006 European Club Operator of the year by IHRSA;
- 2007 - World Class became a laureate in the “Fitness centre” category of VI Russian competition “Golden chains 2007”.
World Class partners are the largest world FMCG corporations - Nike and Coca-Cola, developers - “Capital Group” and “Don Stroy”, and also leading sport facility producers - Life Fitness, Precore, Technogym etc.
“FizKult”
“FizKult” is a fitness clubs chain of business format founded in 2006.
Fitness clubs chain “Fizkult” includes 8 own and 3 franchised fitness clubs, more than 33000 fitness and healthy life style fans in 11 clubs of Russia: in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-na-Donu, Saratov, and Engels. “Fizkult”’s main competitive advantage is flexible price policy which allows to enjoy the full range of fitness services of business segment.
Fitness clubs chain “Fizkult” was founded by a team which has great experience in the fitness industry.
The clubs offer a full range of fitness facilities: work out gyms, a pool, cardiovascular zone, aerobics gym, dancing and weight-lifting programs, and unique programs of weight-lifting and functional trainings, yoga and martial arts.
According to RBC fitness club rating chain “Fizkult” is the best in its category in 2008.
