On the 10^th and 11^th of July World Class club chain held the First Summer Games Championship, which succeeded to the Olympic Games of World Class. This year the Championship broke a record again and gathered about 1000 active members of World Class from 8 Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhni Novgorod, Saratov, Ivanovo, Vladimir, Ufa and Habarovsk.

It’s the third time, when the main emulative programme – interclub World Class Games relay race – took place on the stadium “Yantar”, which is situated on the picturesque bank of Stroginskyi bay. There was a special atmosphere of sport festival, created by heated players and by active supporting fancy.

The grand opening of the Championship was carried out by Svetlana Kuznecova – a famous tennis-player and an honoured master of sports in Russia. The right to hoist the flag with the sign of the Championship was given to Alexander Nadezhdin (Kuncevo) – the winner of the 2009 Championship and to the captain of World Class Kunzevo Roman Paramonov as well as to the fitness-manager of the club Natalia Kruchinina.

The first day of the Championship was rich with exciting competitions. There was a tense struggle between the sportsmen in triathlon (swimming, cycle race, cross-country race). The interclub World Class Games relay race attracted a great attention of the fancy – in which World Class Zhukovka won a victory. Besides, the list of disciplines included cross-country races, water polo, which became an essential sport for the members of World Class, table tennis, pair tennis tournament, swimming, volleyball, children's, junior and youth triathlon. There was also a sport festival for the children from 3 to 5 years old.

And finally the Cup was presented to the World Class Kuncevo team, which keeps the status of the leader in World Class club chain for three years running.

In the evening the Championship gathered all the fans of ballroom sports dances PRO-AM and 20 couples (amateurs and professionals) took part in the competition. The winners are: Yana Hmeleva and Kirill Shmakov – in the European programme, Daria Makeeva and Alexander Rebrov (the couple from World Class Krestovsky, St. Petersburg) – in the Latin-American programme, Olga Yalanskaya and Maxim Karcev (the couple from World Class Kuncevo) – in the category “Freestyle”.

The grand closing of the World Class Summer Games Championship was carried out on the 11^th of July on the open stage of “Pavlovo Podvorie”. The festival was held by unique and humorous masters of ceremonies in Russia and the members of World Class – Olga Shelest and Anton Komolov. The rewards were presented by friends and members of the club, such as: Vera Dushevina and Ekaterina Makarova, Adrey Merzlikin and Marina Alexandrovna, Alexander Anatolievich and Kseniya Alferova, Igor Petrenko and Ekaterina Klimova, Dmitriy Nosov and Tatiyana Arno, Artem Tkachenko and Ravshana Kurkova, Ilia Averbuh, Igor Chapurin, Dmitry Bilan.

The culmination of the ceremony was the appearance of one of the most brilliant performers on our stage – Timati and Dmitry Bilan. The live show impressed deeply every our guest.

Our great festival finished in the small hours in a cosy atmosphere, while healthy life-style lovers were watching the Cup-Final of the World Football Championship on a big screen.
